The Linn Sizmik is a compact and powerful bass reinforcement loudspeaker for use in stereo music systems and multi-channel music and movie systems.
The role of the Linn Sizmik bass reinforcement loudspeaker is to enhance the audio performance of your system by accurately reproducing the low-frequency sounds beyond the capability of smaller loudspeakers. Where a subwoofer simply provides large quantities of bass to dominate the home-theatre experience, at Linn we design and manufacture bass reinforcement loudspeakers to enhance system performance.
This difference in description may appear to be a subtle one but experience the Linn Sizmik for yourself and you will appreciate the difference immediately. Linn Sizmik will accurately and tunefully reproduce low-frequency sounds to perfectly complement the other speakers in your system and you can hear exactly how quality matters more than quantity in high-performance home-theatre system.
There are 2 variants of Sizmik bass reinforcement loudspeaker to cover a range of systems and room sizes. Sizmik 10.25 features a 10-inch drive-unit whilst the larger Sizmik 12.45 uses a larger 12-inch drive-unit for use in larger rooms and where higher volume is desired. There is also a kit version, the Sizmik Kustom, which can be installed directly into a wall cavity for applications where you want your system to be heard but not seen.
Each Sizmik bass reinforcement loudspeaker combines three key Linn technologies Chakra power amplification, a Switch Mode Power Supply and digitally controlled signal processing.
Linns patented Chakra amplifier technology provides consistent performance and delivers 1000w of controlled silent power. It offers significantly increased power, reliability and efficiency, whilst at the same time producing less heat, less distortion and using fewer components. In short, Chakra amplifier topology is superior to standard power amplifier technology in every parameter through simplicity.
Linns efficient, quiet and cool-running Switch Mode Power Supply ensures Sizmik bass reinforcement loudspeakers convey nothing but pure music.
Digitally controlled signal processing and adjustable filters allow you to quickly and easily tailor the performance of your Sizmik to suit the size and layout of your room. In larger rooms, using additional bass reinforcement loudspeakers can significantly improve the performance of your system.
