Dollar & Euro hit the UK Hard |
Since the weakening of the pound against the Dollar & Euro, it now means that UK manufacturers are now purchasing products for 33% more than they were in November 2008.
Many of our manufactures have tried to absorb these costs however we have now received notification from 95% of all suppliers that these costs are now to be passed on to us (the retailers) for which we will try and absorb some of these costs however this will mean that for many products price increases are on the way.
For example: Product A costs $2000 @ $2/£1= £1000, however the exchange rate is now $1.38/£1 making the new cost £1,449 Product B costs €1000 @ €1.38/1 = £724.63, however the exchange rate is now €1.02 making the new cost £980

SIM2 Price Drop |
Premiere Home CInema have been advised that the SIM2 Domino D60 FullHD Projector has had a price review for the better, SIM2 have lowered the RRP from £3,000 to £2,500 making the SIM2 D60 £500 Cheaper than it's rival the Infocus IN82 this will surely make purchasing a Darkchip3 Projector even harder. SIM2 projectors have always been highly desired however due to price they have been out of most people budget, however with the infocus latest price increases and the SIM2 price drop this will surely wet most people appetites. The SIM2 D60 & Infocus IN82 both have the same DarkChip3 Technology, however with the SIM2 D60 being £500 cheaper, with Lens shift and smaller, the SIM2 D60 will probably be my choice. |

A Sad Farewell |
Infocus have announced that the Infocus IN78 HD Ready 720P Projector is no more, it was only 18 months ago that this projector graced us with its presence and won every award it was nominated for including What HiFi's Projector of the year, this was released into the UK as Infocus's flagship projector. Technology moves so fast that within 6months of the IN78 release 1080P was born, this resolution has been slowly killing the 720P Market ever since, with the release of the Infocus IN80 a FullHD Projector for under £1,300, this has clearly nailed the lid of the coffin shut for the IN78. |

The Infocus IN83 is Officially Awesome
In awarding the InFocus IN83 a trustedreviews.com recommended badge, reviewer John Archer says that the PJ delivers ‘the single best picture quality I've seen on a DLP projector in the £4k or less price bracket. In fact, the IN83 could have cost a grand more and I'd still have loved it…as hoped, the depth of the blacks on show during a run-through of - appropriately enough - Men In Black on Blu-ray is nothing short of awesome.
